“I read other reviews and was a little concerned about damaged parts during shipment and factory settings being off. I would say that Hitachi has resolved their packaging problem because even with UPS delivering the saw it arrived in one piece.
I think all I had to do was screw in a handle and the saw was ready to go. I tested the factory settings (stops) for zero and +-forty five degrees and blade tilt by cutting sample pieces and re-orienting them. The test pieces all checked out and the digital readouts all matched the factory stops. The laser is very sharp and was also set perfectly. Out of the gate I couldn’t be more pleased.”

“Excellent saw. The digital readout is convenient and very accurate to the 1/2 degree. The Hitachi laser is better than any other out there in that it can be used WITHOUT the blade spinning.
